A Liverpool-based Operations Manager is currently seeking opportunities for fully remote work or remote positions with regional travel, offering a salary of £40k+ on a permanent full-time basis.

This individual boasts over 25 years of experience in the Skills and Training sector, commencing their career as an NVQ Assessor and progressively advancing to roles of greater responsibility. With a track record of success, they served as a Hub Manager for three years, overseeing the administration and securing government funding for 3000 North West and North East apprentices. Subsequently, they transitioned to the role of Operations Manager, where they managed the delivery, quality, and management of apprenticeship learner programs across various sectors. Their expertise includes a thorough understanding of government apprenticeship funding rules, coupled with a professional “can-do” attitude.

Key experience and skills include managing, delivering, and monitoring government-funded programs, adept stakeholder liaison, strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, as well as effective time management abilities.

In their capacity as an Operations Manager, they were responsible for supervising the delivery, quality, and management of apprenticeship learner programs across diverse sectors. This encompassed monitoring budgeted starts, in-learning progress, and achievers, while ensuring compliance with Ofsted standards for high-quality delivery and ESFA funding rule requirements.

Moreover, they held line management responsibilities for a team of Curriculum Performance Managers, overseeing their performance and indirectly managing a team of Learning Coaches. They provided support and development opportunities to enhance the knowledge and skills of managers, ensured curriculums were aligned with current delivery standards, managed staff-to-learner ratios, and monitored management information data reports for actionable insights.

Additionally, they collaborated with the Head of Product Management to develop and implement a new pilot Moodle platform, enhancing the learner journey experience. Their contributions ranged from conceptual development to the creation of the first live pilot platform, followed by supporting the development and launch of Moodle platforms for further sectors. Furthermore, they actively participated in the development of a new onboarding Moodle platform to streamline the enrolment process for apprenticeship programs.
