Merseyside/NorthWest based £40k+ hybrid/office/remote Permanent Full Time – 20 years experience, working their way up from Assessor Tutor to Hub Manager to sub-contracting partnership manager and 6 years in an Ops Manager role.

On the market now we have a highly motivated, conscientious and hardworking Operations Manager individual who is well organised, flexible and has experience of working in a fast pace and constant changing environment.  With a thorough knowledge and experience of government apprenticeship funding rules.   They have a strong sense of personal responsibility and a professional “can do” attitude.

  • Managing, delivering and monitoring of government funded programmes
  • Excellent stakeholder liaison and ability to work with all levels of colleagues
  • Excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Time management skills


Operations Manager responsible for the oversight of delivery, quality and management of apprenticeship learner programmes across a variety of sectors including Childcare, Healthcare and Hospitality. Monitoring of budgeted starts, in learning and achievers.   Responsibility of the team to meet Ofsted standards for high quality delivery and ESFA funding rule requirements ensuring funds are secure.

  • Line Management of a team of Curriculum performance Managers directly managing performance of the managers and indirectly the team of Learning Coaches
  • Support and develop knowledge and skills of Managers to enhance their development and performance
  • Support Managers to ensure curriculums are in line with current delivery and are updated accordingly incorporating links to areas embedded i.e. English and maths, safeguarding & prevent
  • Manage staff to learner ratio ensuring headcount is aligned with requirements
  • Monitoring and review of management information data reports including learners past planned end date, planned completers & achievers, learning activity, learner progression and progress reviews
  • Review and monitor QAR across the year reviewing predictions against actual performance and identifying actions where data shows intervention required
  • Identify budget requirements in line with Business requirements for Operations Team
  • Worked with Head of Product Management on developing a new pilot moodle platform to enhance the learner journey experience.  Supported the development of the concept through to creation of the first live pilot platform before moving on to support development and launch moodle platform for a further sector
  • Worked to support development of new on boarding moodle platform for new pilot to create a new learner experience for the process of enrolment to the apprenticeship programme
