Quality and Compliance Manager  – on the market now £35k+ based in Manchester – will consider a Hybrid/Remote role

For the last 15 years my candidate has been working in Further Education specialising in Apprenticeships, Advanced learner loan, Adult Education, Community learning, programmes for the unemployed and ESF funded contracts. They have held numerous positions over this period with their last role being Compliance and Quality Manager.

Contract Management, overseeing the delivery whilst meeting the internal and external stakeholders expectations.  Managed teams to deliver high quality provision and managed the contracts objectives and KPIS whilst managing staff and conducting performance reviews.  Audit inspections, producing audit reports and providing on-going training to employees regarding regulations and impact of non- compliance.

  • Performing risk/compliance assessments understanding risk level, significance and scope of compliance of funding contracts.
  • Ensure up to date compliance knowledge is maintained within all funded contracts.
  • Monitoring compliance across the business with laws, regulations and internal policies.
  • Assist in practical compliance functions such as complaint handling.
  • Assist in the on-going education of employees of regulations, and the impact of non-compliance on the organisation.
  • Investigate irregularities and non-compliance issues and implement resolutions.
  • Reporting back business functions on current risk and compliance performance, highlighting or escalating areas of concern.
  • Leading and assisting in the gathering of internal information in response to audit / regulatory requests.
  • Managing a team to ensure daily operational functions are carried out and business / contract objectives and deadlines are met.
  • Identify strengths and areas for development / improvement.
  • Managing team and personal competing priorities, ensuring deadlines are met and quality is maintained.
  • Setting my own and staff clear objectives.
  • Manage external partners and stakeholders’ expectations and relationships.
  • Ofsted designated lead, implementation of QIP plans and assist in writing SAR for the organisation.
  • Conduct OTLA’s, tutor quality walk throughs and training on Ofsted requirements.
  • Dealing with awarding bodies, EQA visits, EQA reports and actions if identified.
