Profile
- Extensive experience in the Rail and Construction training industry
- Implementing a consistent approach to ensure skills, employment and education outcomes are maximised and to support continuous improvement of skills and employment outcomes for the wider community, including Birmingham CC, DWP and our supply chain of recruitment agencies.
- Building and maintain relationships with schools, colleges, prisons, women in to construction and under-represented groups to promote careers in the Infrastructure sector.
- Sit on the Construction Employment advisory for Birmingham City Council & Solihull which discusses planning for upcoming and new project, looking at the potential skills and jobs opportunities. Addressing any skills shortages, upskilling and supporting employers with their Section 106 targets.
- Proven track record in setting up and delivering partnership opportunities
- Working with the SMP Alliance aligning KPIs in Social Value that supports disadvantaged groups, long term unemployed, ex-offenders, ex-military and women in new careers or training.
- Identifying funding opportunities from colleges, local authorities, Big Lottery, ESF etc., and manage the process for accessing government or other funding to support skills development programmes and pre/post-employment support initiatives.
