Our client are an award winning highly reputable training provider based in the North West.
Your role as careers adviser will be to deliver, and be proactively involved in the continual development of, post-16 Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG) Service, providing engaging, inspiring and informative IAG activities for a range of internal and external audiences.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide initial advice and guidance to potential applicants and on-course guidance/support to learners.
Liaise with a range of agencies (eg Young People’s Services; Connexions; Careers Hubs; Care Leaver Networks; Inspira; CK Careers) to maximise participation in programmes.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with high schools/6 th Forms/colleges to promote programmes (Apprenticeships, Traineeships, Study Programme) to young people.
Create and deliver a range of high quality, innovative IAG services/activities (eg presentations, assembly talks, careers workshops, mock interviews).
Attend a range of careers events/exhibitions/shows – including attendance both during the day and out of hours/evenings.
Arrange school visits as required.
Ensure the availability of relevant/sufficient stocks of literature/promotional materials at all IAG sessions/events.
Liaise with the Marketing Team to ensure all materials used within IAG presentations/sessions/at events are up to date and adhere to the corporate house style and standards.
Maintain the schools/agency contact database and events/activity spreadsheet and provide associated reports to the Sales, Recruitment & Marketing Manager as requested.
Complete evaluations of all IAG sessions.
Promote all activities via the social media platforms as appropriate/in line with GDPR.
Interview applicants for a range of programmes (Apprenticeships, Traineeships, Study Programme).
Liaise with the Recruitment Team regarding the promotion of vacancies to schools/referral agencies.
Work closely with the Study Programme Team to support the recruitment of potential learners.
