Various sites around Manchester, North West – mileage paid 

Must have significant front line security experience in the last 5 years

Permanent Full Time Monday to Friday up to £31,333 (inc car allowance 34 days holidays (inc bank holidays) to start rising to 43 after year 5, support, CPD, induction, IT Kit, eye tests, Long serve rewards, wellbeing initiatives, birthday off, progression opportunities and much more

Our client are one of the largest providers of apprenticeships and work based learning in the North West. 

  • Your role SIA Learner Coach will be to deliver programmes (Adult Education) in line with customer requirements, quality standards and pre-determined targets, to a caseload of learners. To ensure that all learners experience a high quality learning programme in terms of content, structure and learning support.  Your role will be to deliver consistently good or better learning outcomes and progress by employing an effective variety of learning methods, skills development, coaching and mentoring with a self-motivated and proactive approach.
  • Manage and maintain a caseload of learners as agreed with your line manager and carry out regular learner interventions
  • Ensure evidence for learning, achievement, funding and Ofsted is captured effectively and timely Including:
      • Learners are retained for the duration of their programme (evidenced in registers)
      • Sustainable progressions/destinations to employment or further training
      • Individualised learning programmes (ILPs), agreed with learner based on initial assessments, 
  • Engage learner and key stakeholders, making clear their responsibilities and work collaboratively to provide support, guidance and opportunities for learning
  • Plan the assessment / test process with learners and stakeholders, ensuring preparation and practice is included in the learning plan
  • Inspire and motivate learners and identify any barriers and adapt to your learners’ needs
  • Motivate and drive learners to achieve their qualifications on time.
  • Embed Maths and English and Digital Skills (where applicable), to support the learner’s achievement and progress in these areas
  • Ensure marking and feedback to the learner is timely, individual, accurate and supports their development
  • Work closely with IQAs on best practice, development needs and providing sampling, monitoring as detailed in the IQA plan.

Essential

  • Relevant occupational sector experience and relevant qualifications (at a level higher than delivery), and/or current updated CPD
  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training
  • Level 3 Award in delivery of Conflict Management
  • Level 3 Award in delivery of Physical Intervention
  • Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work
  • Significant front-line security experience within the last 5 years in the UK
  • Functional Skills Level 2 in English, Maths and ICT or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience of coaching to support learning
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload

Desirable

  • Coaching qualification
  • PGCE or other teaching qualification
  • TAQA, AVA, A1 or D32/33 Assessor Qualification and Knowledge of Government funded training
